Maybe it was all of the thoughtful details that went into making their overseas guests feel welcome…Or maybe it was the hundreds (if not thousands) of homemade cookies made by family and friends. Perhaps it had something to do with how the couple’s adorable pup Potter was an official member of the bridal party…Or maybe it had something to do with how the couple forged their own wedding rings, together. Or did it have something to do with the fact that I’ve personally had the pleasure of knowing the bride, and have been able to call her my friend since middle school? Well, whatever it was that did it, this wedding celebration was nothing short of awesome.
It was abundantly clear that the couple put a lot of thought and care into making it into not just a celebration about them, but a celebration of the joining of their two families, one from the US and one from the UK. And let me tell you, the joy was infectious! No potential threat of rain was going to dampen this party, or the happiness and calmness that exuded from Laura & Tom on this HOT (but not rainy :)) summer day in Pittsburgh.
