A few years ago I had the pleasure of photographing a truly wonderful couple who said their “I do’s” at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh. Their wedding was recently featured on the delightfully eye-catching and inspiring Burgh Brides wedding blog.

One of my favorite parts of the blog post is the interview at the end where bride Michelle reflects on the day. Here’s some of Michelle’s advice:

“…The truth is that wedding planning, and the wedding weekend in general, can be stressful. It’s hard not to feel responsible for your family and friends having a good time. Try to remember that if you are experiencing a range of emotions and not all of them are good, that it’s okay. Your wedding is one day. The marriage is what you are looking forward to the most. When the weekend is over, you get to go on a honeymoon, which is the best part. Just keep telling yourself that as you work to get the day planned.”
